ZONING ORDINANCE #33 SECTION 925 SMALL PERSONAL SCALE SOLAR AND UTILITY SCALE SOLAR ENERGY FACILITIES
Notice is hereby given that the Riley Township Board adopts Zoning Ordinance Article 33, Section 925 Small Personal Scale Solar and Utility Scale Solar Energy Facilities text amendment to the Ordinances of Riley Township at a regular meeting held on December 12th, 2023.
The purpose of this zoning ordinance amendment is to add text and adopt regulations for both Small Personal Scale Solar and Utility Scale Solar Energy Facility; to add text for zoning ordinance section title, intent, purpose and objectives; to add text definitions of Solar Energy and Solar Energy Facility (SEF) for Small Personal Scale SEF and Utility Scale SEF; and to add sections and text regulations for A. General Requirements, B. Standards for Small Personal Scale SEF(s), C. Standards for Utility Scale SEF(s), D. Enforcement and Penalties, and E. Validity.
This Ordinance amendment shall take effect on the seventh (7th) day after this publication as required by law following adoption by the township board and shall remain in effect herein.

ZONING ORDINANCE #33 SECTION 923 WIND ENERGY CONVERSION SYSTEMS (WECS)
Notice is hereby given that the Riley Township Board adopts Zoning Ordinance Article 33, Section 923 Wind Energy Conversion Systems text amendment to the Ordinances of Riley Township at a regular meeting held on December 12th, 2023.
The purpose of this zoning ordinance amendment is to remove text regulations pertaining to solar energy systems within the title and intent; to add text language to measurements throughout the ordinance; to relocate language within Section A. Private WECS, 3. Free-standing systems, additional standards, items (e) and (f) and relocate to item (d); and to remove Item D. Small Solar Energy Systems items 1-2(c).
This Ordinance amendment shall take effect on the seventh (7th) day after this publication as required by law following adoption by the township board and shall remain in effect herein.
