Zoning Board of Appeals

There are two main duties of the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA):

  1. To hear and decide appeals of administrative decisions made in implementing the zoning ordinances of the township, and
  2. To hear and decide requests for variances from the strict terms of the zoning ordinances that have been put in place. 
 
In addition to these duties, the ZBA may be called upon by the board to interpret the provisions of the Township’s Zoning Ordinance.

Meetings are held the SECOND Thursday of the month at 7pm on an “as needed” basis. 

Anyone wishing to petition the ZBA for a variance shall pay the  established fee schedule along with a completed variance application & pertinent information submitted to the Township office no less than 28 days prior to the desired meeting date.
